You are so loved.

The newborn stage as a new mom can be quite scary. Reading books may prepare you for basic milestones or things to look out for, but nothing will prepare you for exactly what your baby needs more than actually living in the moment with your baby. Every baby is different, so that only makes it that much more difficult to pinpoint solutions or reasons on why babies do what they do, especially when it comes to babies crying. As a mother of two toddlers, here is what I have learned on why babies cry and some solutions on how to help a crying baby.

Reasons on Why Babies Cry

The first form of communication for babies is crying. Babies reach their crying peak at about 6 weeks old, so don’t be offended and think that your baby doesn’t love you because they are constantly crying. They’re simply trying to communicate in the only way they know how to express themselves to you and that is by crying to get your attention to help them out.

Babies express how they feel or as a way to express what they need by crying. This is the only way they know how to communicate in infancy. A baby who is crying can be letting you know many different things, which in turn can cause you lots of stress in early motherhood when you might not know why they are crying. The important thing to remember is that there are things you could look out for that will help you decipher what might be wrong and what solutions you can try to help your crying baby out.
