Babymoon in Paradise

Travel does the body good.

If it entails travel, count us in! Always! We love traveling. It does look a bit different nowadays that we have a two year old, but we have enjoyed it so much more seeing the world through Danica’s eyes. When I was pregnant with Danica, Dave and I took a babymoon and it was amazing, so we were debating if people took babymoons with their second child. We then thought, who cares what other people do! If we want to take a mini vacation just the 3 of us, lets do it! Approaching the end of my third trimester we decided we would do a local baby moon and take Danica with us, because why not! Her life was about to get turned upside as well and this would be something fun for all of us to do before the craziness of having a newborn and toddler came around!

As you know we live in San Diego, a destination spot, so escaping to paradise is not difficult when you live here. I had visited Paradise Point previously and was amazed of how beautiful it was . The resort feels like you are literally in paradise. Surrounded by palm trees, water and sand. A true paradise. You feel like you’re in an island faraway from everything!

Danica didn’t take long to adjust to the paradise life as you can see.
Here is Danica running towards the water. Yes, that is our Bungalow 15 steps from the sand! Can we say BEAUTIFUL!?!?!?

We stayed in a Bungalow 15 steps away from the sand and water with bay views. As soon as Danica saw the sand and water she ran for it as you can see above. We are big fans of the sand & water. Real life mermaids if you will! To be this close was amazing for our little family! Here is a link to a 360 view so you can see for yourself how beautiful this is:

Just living our best mermaid life.

The bungalow behind is where we stayed which made life SO much easier lugging our sand toys with us!! I would like to call that a #momwin ! I counted how many steps it took to get to the sand because I was just amazed of how convenient and amazing this was! I thankfully didn’t have to lug the entire place with all of our beach stuff, because we all know how fun* that is (sarcasm). Of course, we had brought Danica’s sand toys with us because we never leave home without them! She even reminded us to bring them as we left the house earlier that day LOL!

Mermaids do exist. Dani was in her happy place for sure. Sandy toes & sunny skies are the best.

Dani kept saying how happy she was! Her smile and her giggles throughout our stay here confirmed we made a great decision staying here at this resort.

Great action shot daddy!!! Living up to his IG Hubs of the Year award! 🙂
This picture makes my heart happy. How beautiful is this! Framing this sweetness!

The resort has so many different viewpoints of the bay and those beautiful palm trees are everywhere! After our breakfast we took a walk around to see turtles, ducks and the palm trees that surrounded the resort. We made it to what they call Island Point Lawn. This open lawn area overlooks the bay and it’s beyond beautiful. Danica took her shoes off right away and ran around. As you can see from the picture above, she was in her happy place! This view is also the view from the restaurant where we had dinner the night before, Tidal. The food, desserts, drinks and service were OUTSTANDING! They had small bento boxes for kiddos and mocktails for mommy. Definitely a plus to have restaurants around the resort! You really never have to leave.

Pure bliss! She enjoyed her time here obviously! Thanks for having us!

The picture above is right after we walked back from Island Point Lawn and we climbed the Observation Tower that overlooks the resort (81 steps up). She enjoyed the views and asked if we could come back. I told her absolutely and she responded with “that makes me happy mama!”. I love that the resort caters to children and families! A great family resort for sure! The other great thing is that it’s also a great romantic getaway that Dave & I have added to our list for our next getaway for just the two of us! We are definitely going to need it after two kiddos! Here are two quick videos: The first is the view from the top of the Observation Tower. Palm Trees on Palms Tree on Palm Trees 🙂 sooo beautiful!

The second video is the walk from our bungalow to the Observation Tower. Danica loved the ducks and turtles in the water!

Below as you can see Danica and the hubs took a walk to look for ducks! We spent a lot of time just sitting here watching her run around in complete happiness! It felt like we were in a far away island. Just so darn peaceful!

Looking for ducks with daddy, her bestie!

As you can see we always came back to the sand because why wouldn’t you! We had such an excellent time at this resort. We are so excited to be returning as a family of 4 later this summer!

My heart <3

If you ever get a chance to come to San Diego please consider looking into Paradise Point. You have everything you need at this resort, you literally never have to leave. Counting down the days until we can come back!
